Sapwood terms of use

These rules apply to everyone who uses Sapwood in your organisation. They keep Sapwood a safe place to share ideas. By creating an account, you agree to them.

  1. Taking part is voluntary. Not joining, or leaving later, has no consequences for your work.
  2. Be respectful. Criticise situations and ideas, never people. No insults, threats, discrimination or harassment.
  3. Leave people out. Don't name colleagues, customers or anyone else, and don't describe them so they can be recognised. Don't share personal details, yours or anyone's, such as health, private life or contact details.
  4. Don't try to find out who wrote what. Don't ask colleagues whether an idea is theirs, and don't try to work it out. Stepping forward is each author's own choice.
  5. Keep it about work, and keep it legal. Only share what you're allowed to share with your colleagues. No illegal content, no advertising, no spam.
  6. Your ideas. Your organisation may use, change and carry out the ideas posted in Sapwood, without paying for them and without naming you. If an idea is adopted, you can choose to take the credit.
  7. Moderation. Sapwood checks text for abusive words before it's posted. Anyone can report an item. Moderators can hide what breaks these rules; they never see who wrote it. For serious or repeated breaches, the Org Admin can remove an account.
  8. Your account. One account per person. Keep your password to yourself. If you think someone else used your account, change your password, which signs out every other device.
  9. Sapwood is a test. During the pilot, Sapwood is offered as it is and may change or stop. We do our best to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it's always available. As far as the law allows, Sapwood isn't liable for damage from using it.
  10. Privacy and changes. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. If these terms change, we'll tell you in the app first.
